A two-time All-Star, Jasrado “Jazz” Hermis Arrington Chisholm is one of the most recognizable faces in Major League Baseball who plays infield for the New York Yankees. Prior to coming to New York, Chisholm spent the first 3.5 years of his big league career with the Miami Marlins.

After joining the Arizona Diamondbacks as an international free agent in 2015, Chisholm quickly earned a reputation for his speed and power at the plate. In 2018, the Diamondbacks named him their Minor League Player of the Year. The Bahamas native was then acquired by the Miami Marlins in 2019, who called him up to the big leagues in September of 2020.

After becoming the youngest position player to debut for the Marlins since 2013, Chisholm spent his first full year at the big league level during the 2021 season. In 2022, he made his first All-Star appearance and established himself as one of the most electric young players in the game and the face of the Miami franchise.

During the 2024 season, Chisholm was traded to the New York Yankees and quickly became one of the team’s most valuable players. After playing a key role in leading the team to the 2024 World Series, Chisholm was again named an All-Star in 2025 and now looks to bring New York City a championship in 2026.

Off the field, Jazz takes immense pride in his Bahamian roots, and his achievements have earned him recognition beyond the baseball diamond. He actively participated in the Marlins’ relief efforts following Hurricane Dorian and regularly returns to Nassau, his hometown, to host youth baseball clinics. His early philanthropic work laid the blueprint for The Jazz Chisholm Foundation, which aims to make a significant and positive impact on future generations through opportunities in athletics and community goodwill.
